iMovie

Definition

iMovie is an application created by Apple Computer as part of their free of charge iLife suite of applications for the Macintosh that allows users to edit their own home movies. In iMovie users can edit, add titles, and music. Effects such as fade-in, fade-out and slides are included by default. Students can record their voices in iMovie. The built-in camera on the MacBook also allows video to be taken directly from the laptop eliminating the need for a video camera. In addition to video, images (photographs), scanned drawings, Kid Pix creations and other digital formats can also be used in iMovie.
